Artistic Coaching with Cole Matson, PHD
Cole is the founder of the Catholic Artist Connection, and currently coaches artists via Zoom from his hermitage in La Veta, CO. He has worked in theatrical arts administration and education as Managing Director of Open Window Theatre in St. Paul, MN; Programming Associate and Artist-in-Residence at the Sheen Center for Thought & Culture; and Musical Theatre History Instructor and B.F.A. Program Coordinator at CAP21 Musical Theatre Conservatory/Molloy College. While living in NYC from 2015-2018, he co-founded Our Lady of Harlem Artist House with five other Catholic artist men, and served on the advisory boards of Turn to Flesh Productions and the Archdiocese of New York's Office of Young Adult Outreach. He received a Ph.D. in Divinity from the Institute for Theology, Imagination and the Arts at the University of St Andrews, an M.A. in Theology from the University of Oxford, and a B.F.A. in Drama and Psychology from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. He is a stage and film actor, theater producer, and proud member of AEA and SAG-AFTRA.
