Listening to our dreams and listening to the dreamers. 

About the Artist

I grew up with cradle Catholic parents. Attend St. Leo Catholic Church in Holland Patent, NY every Sunday. I have a love for art since kindergarten. Marianist brother (Society of Mary) since 1986. BFA: Communication Design — University at Buffalo. MFA: Illustration — Syracuse University. Ministries with the Marianists… Graphic designer/illustrator, Marianist Press, Dayton, Ohio — 1985 - 1999. Artist assistant to Br. Mel Meyer, SM, Marianist Galleries, Kirkwood, Missouri — 2003 - 2014. Social media archivist/artist, National Archives Marianist Province of the US, St. Mary’s University, San Antonio, Texas — 2015 - present. Keeper of sketchbook journals since 1974 and am currently on number 108. I also have three dream logs starting in 1984. Needle felting work — 2014 to present. My work is in Letter Arts Review, Volume 32, Number 1, Winter 2018, p. 45. Letter Arts Review, Volume 35, Number 2, Fall 2021, pages 11-18. abz crane project… I fold an origami peace crane as I go for my walk six days a week, leaving the crane on one of the many picnic tables around the St. Mary’s University campus. The origami peace crane is magical in how a flat piece of paper becomes a three dimensional Holy Spirit-like bird. As I fold the crane and place it I say a prayer for peace in our world. Workshop presenter on the art of keeping a sketchbook journal, needle felting, and folding an origami peace crane.
